Module 2

Module 2: Making Connections

This module gave me more insight into using the Internet and IPad together. The bookmark tool would be useful in the classroom as you could save a page that you want the students to focus on for a variety of activities such as reading a newspaper article and answering comprehension questions. The hyperlink and creating reading lists are a great tool to use in the classroom especially with reading groups and having links for the students to access. The links could also be used for maths groups, having mathematical sites for the students to refer to and games they can play for the concept they are learning.
The user guide discussed iCloud which opened my eyes to storing your information and it is good to know you have that option for your iPad. The notes section in the user guide and using dictation I found interesting especially when you can use it for students who struggle to type and spell. The students could dictate and learn how to spell words that they aren't familiar with. The section on camera was a good section and it gave me interesting information on cropping, rotating and removing red eye on photos. The FaceTime video calls I hadn't heard about or used before but it is definitely something I want to use in the future. This module has given me great ideas for future lessons.

  1. Hi Emma, i agree with you about giving us such a good start to the course. This module also assisted me to make a few basic connections between internet and iPad and I had a few things made clear to me through this. I look forward to reading the rest of your blog.
    Regards.
